Gjevilvassdalen valley.

The natural focal point for hikers is Gjevilvasshytta cabin. Swimming at Rauøra is also popular.

Gjevilvassdalen valley is the most visited approach to Trollheimen. From Gjevilvassdalen valley, there are waymarked routes to Vassendsetra, Trollheimshytta cabin and Jøldalshytta cabin. Popular summit trip destinations are Blåhø, Okla and Storhornet.

How do I get there?

By car: Take the exit from Rv70 to Joker Festa in Oppdal Municipality, then turn onto and follow Osvegen road.

By bus: Take the 901 bus to Festa in Oppdal Municipality. From there, visitors can cycle along the same route described above. On Thursdays during the summer months, there is a bus service to Gjevilvasshytta cabin. For more information, visit their website.
